Steeped in tradition and seven generations in the making, every bottle of Paul Sutton Bourbon® is meticulously distilled from a 100-year-old family mash recipe and then given new life through modern day bourbon science. Small-batch and crafted using Alabama sweet corn, this premium grain-to-glass bourbon sings the praises of the South in every pour.

We partnered with the Sutton family to develop a compelling identity and bottle design to communicate both the family’s story and its commitment to tried-and-true production methods.

The bottle design incorporates tailored moments that straddle both past and present. Sharpened corners, tapered sides, a highball glass-inspired base and a wax seal stamped with the family crest celebrate the spirit’s hand-crafted nature, while a span of seven rays on the bottle’s reverse speaks both to the brand’s heritage and the signature recipe found within. 

Speaking both to the hand-crafted nature of the spirit and the captivating family story behind it, the identity incorporates sophisticated, timeless design elements with warm notes of Southern hospitality that invite consumers to participate in the Sutton family legacy.
